The Talismán is one of the most eagerly anticipated cigar releases for many years and joins a group of iconic Cohiba vitolas that have been launched within the Habanos Limited Edition concept. This includes previous releases such as the Cohiba Sublimes (2004), Cohiba 1966 (2011) and the most recent Cohiba Supremos (2014). The Talismán is destined to become a firm favorite and will soon sit proudly in the Cohiba Limited Edition hall of fame.
Measuring an impressive 6 1/8“ (154 mm) x 54 ring gauge, these stunning cigars are presented in 10s in the traditional Cohiba style of varnished slide lid boxes (SLB). The blend matches the flavour profile of Cohiba’s La Línea Clasica range (medium to full) with the head of each cigar finished with a “pigtail” found on La Línea Behike.
All the tobaccos used in a Limited Edition cigar are aged for at least two years. However, in addition to this the Secoand Ligero leaf in Cohiba cigars undergo an ‘extra fermentation’. This may last as long as eighteen months and is conducted at the factory in cedar barrels. Cohibas are the only Cuban cigars to undergo this process and it provides all of their cigars with a unique smoothness. The Maduro wrapper leaf that has been used to dress this cigar provides just a touch of sweetness that plays across the top of the palate.
